An efficient data collection system is fundamental for the creation of a 4.0 Smart Factory.
The plant data collection project designed by THREAD is divided into three layers: Connect, Data and Visual.
“Connect” level consists of hardware systems capable of interfacing with the machines already present in the factory. For each connection point, THREAD studies the best solution to adopt. Data can be retrieved by applying additional sensors or by interfacing electrically with existing systems; or by exchanging data with existing automations; or in mixed mode.
“Data” level represents the core of the data collection model. It is here that the data flow from the hardware to the analysis and control applications is managed. The layer can be installed on a dedicated server or virtual machine.
“Visual” layer provides the customer with a suite of tools for the management, control and analysis of the process accessible from any platform and device, such as SCADA systems, applications for the management of preventive maintenance and systems for monitoring and optimization of the OEE index.
